Neuropsychological assessments explore how the brain is functioning by evaluating cognitive skills such as memory, attention, planning, and problem-solving.

These assessments provide a detailed understanding of an individual’s strengths and areas of difficulty across different aspects of thinking. This profile can assist with diagnosis and guide tailored recommendations for treatment, rehabilitation, work, study, and everyday functioning.

A comprehensive neuropsychological assessment typically takes approximately four to six hours to complete. During this time, your psychologist will:

  • Gather background information (e.g., current symptoms, medical history, medications)

  • Discuss your current concerns, goals, and areas of difficulty

  • Guide you through a range of tasks assessing thinking skills such as problem-solving, memory, and attention

This can be done in one sitting or across a few sessions depending on what is suitable for you.

Therapy sessions are typically 50mins, depending on your needs.
